Meet the Deciphered Roanoke Team!

 Deciphered Roanoke

Luke Croft - Creative Director

If there’s a puzzle you get hung up on, blame Luke. He designs all of the room themes and puzzles at Deciphered. Luke grew up in Martinsville, VA and went to college at Johnson University where he graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies. After graduating, Luke served as the Worship and Discipleship Minister at Rich Acres Christian Church in his hometown and went on to become a Content Marketing Writer for L&T Co. When he isn’t designing puzzles, Luke enjoys playing video games and keeping up with the NBA. If he were stuck on a desert island, he would want a helicopter, helicopter fuel, and a pilot.

Ben Shaw - President

At Deciphered, Ben’s main role is business development, making sure there are people working to unlock their potential in our great escape rooms. He also oversees financial and administrative duties. An East Lyme, CT native, Ben graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College. After graduating, Ben became a Risk Assurance Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Richmond, VA. For fun, he enjoys golfing and riding his motorcycle. If he found himself on a desert island, he would only need a fishing pole, sweet tarts, and a sleeping bag.

Brandon Ford - CEO

Brandon uses his skills in carpentry and general handywork to implement room designs and build out the puzzles for our escape rooms. After growing up in Martinsville, VA, Brandon graduated from Roanoke College with a degree in Business Administration. From there, he went on to work at English Construction in Lynchburg, VA as an accountant. In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle and working on cars. If stuck on a desert island, Brandon would want food, water, and shelter.
